WHAT IS SUMMIT DEAL STREAM?
Summit Deal Stream is an exciting new video project of Mind Over Mirage, LLC designed to serve and connect Summit County Businesses with Current and New Customers. Whether you’re a seasoned local or visiting for the first time, the sole purpose is saving people money while illuminating the beauty and hard work of our great local businesses.
To put it simply: I will be creating, editing, and marketing short videos of the highest quality to share on social media platforms such as Instagram and FB to benefit the entire community.
Think: Beautiful, Yet Brief Mini-Commercials Directly Delivered To New and Potential Customers Via Their Favorite Social Media Networks.
How It Works:
I will utilize several different types of cameras to film a local business of any industry (i.e. restaurant, barber shop, dealership, dispensary, concert venue, brewery, auto body shop, etc.) to create the most atheistically pleasing, organic content possible. Video capabilities include but are not limited to HD slow motion clips, 4K aerial drone footage, timelapse, hyperlapse, GoPro WideAngle and stabilized DSLR 4K video shots comparable to your favorite TV shows or YouTube channels. The raw footage will then be cut and edited into a 60 second social media short video highlighting a specific deal agreed upon by the business AND a 2 minute promotional video for the business’ internal use. Companies may choose between a Single Video Ad, a Seasonal Package with 4 Summit Deal Stream Video Ads and Monthly Package consisting of 12 Summit Deal Stream Video Ads. Upon completion and the business approval of the video, a payment will be provided in form of check to Mind Over Mirage. The last step will consist of sharing the short video on Summit Deal Stream's Social Media Accounts. Using Facebook & Instagram's effective advertising service we will target a custom and specific audience with the ability to reach thousands of customers each day.

Can It Work?
Absolutely. Just look at the disaster that is One Man's Junk: Summit County. Do you think people in the community are seeing the arguments, jerry of the day jokes, traffic updates, wildlife photos, AND the stuff for sale? You bet. This is an example of effective social media reach in a useless manner. I know we can do better. Customers are on their phones all day, everyday and businesses are trying to connect with them; it is my personal belief that they just don’t know how to properly reach them yet. Some high-budget, fortune 500 companies are taking a stab at it BUT wouldn’t you resonate more with a small, local business in your own backyard? It’s no surprise people are still paying top dollar to go to the movies to be entertained, informed; to get a visual treat. It’s also no surprise that these same individuals are immediately turned off by old, outdated, boring advertisements whether it be tv, print, or radio. With a cinematic approach to businesses through social media in our county, we can connect with our beloved locals and visitors alike for the ultimate win-win scenario. MORE SAVINGS. MORE BUSINESS.

Nearly 2 months ago Courtney and I traveled to Norway to explore its vast countryside tip to tail. Upon arrival, we celebrated our Independence Day in the Lofoten Islands and were forever changed by its immense beauty. Over the next two weeks we experienced dramatic landscapes, wonderful culture, unique food, and a new language. This video attempts to capture the sporadic moments in time from place to place in an effort to reinforce memories for a lifetime. Divided into four parts, I hope you enjoy the scenes and the quick pace in this first draft attempt at a short film. Some years ago my friends and I destroyed Wheeler St near UC on a consistent basis. In an unusual tribute to those shaky times at 2200, 2216, and 2248 Wheeler St, I made a 700 mile trip to the most intense volcanic eruption site in the past 30 million years in the La Garita Wilderness. It's called the Wheeler Geological Area and is located in an area outside of Creede, CO that almost no one gets to... but I did manage to make an appearance for all of 34 minutes as a result of many tough muddy miles, monsoon thunderstorms, and shredded tires. I may or may not have cracked a natty light to pay true respect. One thing is true, though; like college, spending a brief period of time here left me longing for more. Education is education no matter how you get it. Cheers to the obscure pursuit of knowledge, folks.
